The Insurance Authority (IA) today (8 August 2024) wishes to alert members of the public to a fraudulent website with the domain name of “https[:]//www[.]hgjyym[.]com/”. The aforesaid fraudulent website purports to be the official website of an authorized insurer of Hong Kong, Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (“Sun Life Hong Kong”). Sun Life Hong Kong has confirmed that it has no connection with the fraudulent website.
Anyone who has provided personal information to the aforesaid website or has conducted any insurance transactions through the website should call Sun Life Hong Kong at (852) 2103-8928, and report the case to the Hong Kong Police Force.
