The Insurance Authority (IA) today (20 December 2024) welcomes the reappointment of Mr Stephen Yiu as the Chairman of the IA for a term of three years, along with the appointment of Professor Darwin Choi, Mr Andrew Fung and Dr Fung Hong as new Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) for a term of three years, the reappointment of Ms Ivy Cheung, Mr Lam Wai-kong, Mr Terry Lo, Dr Derrick Pang, Mr Anson Wong, SC, and Mr Kenneth Wong as NEDs for another term of three years, and the reappointment of Dr Clement Chen, Ms Agnes Choi and Ms Theresa Ng as NEDs for another term of two years with effect from 28 December 2024.
Mr Stephen Yiu said, “The new NEDs are talented individuals with valuable experience in their respective professional fields who will bring in fresh ideas and enriched perspectives, while the reappointed NEDs will provide much-needed continuity to sustain the momentum built up in pursuing our key performance targets.”
Mr Yiu also conveyed deep appreciation of the enormous contribution made by Dr Evelyn Lam, Dr Ares Leung and Professor Anna Wong during their tenure as NEDs in setting the corporate vision and strategic goals of the IA.
