The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (“IAIS”), of which the Insurance Authority is a member, adopted the Common Framework for the Supervision of Internationally Active Insurance Groups (“ComFrame”) on 14 November 2019. ComFrame establishes supervisory standards and guidance focusing on the effective group-wide supervision of Internationally Active Insurance Groups (“IAIGs”). Insurance groups are identified as IAIGs according to the criteria set out in ComFrame.
