Registration of MPF Intermediaries

The MPFA is the authority to register MPF intermediaries. To set out the approval criteria and application procedures, the MPFA has issued the Guidelines on MPF Intermediary Registration and Notification of Changes. Upon registration as an MPF intermediary, each registered intermediary will be assigned a frontline regulator to monitor its compliance with the statutory conduct requirements. In the usual case, the Insurance Authority will be assigned as the frontline regulator of the registered MPF intermediaries whose core business is in insurance sector.
